Well worth a watch for anyone who likes their porn from the 80's. Entertaining, and the sex scenes are as good as you could ask for. I find it better than the present 'Gonzo' craze and Sindi Coxx and Chrisite Lake really show their worth. In my view the best scene is kept for last. As Dr Goodhead (Nina Hartley) lives up to her name and takes Dr Shaft for all he has. A good variety of sex including a good ass fuck, although not for Nina. Out of five, I give it four stars.

I'm a man who always felt that something was missing in most by-the-numbers men-directed porn. In a word, the something is *intelligence* ... Try watching just the first scene of this movie (it's purple-hot; you may not get past it on your first viewing!) where the lead male scientist on the project decides to stay late at the lab and give the two angelic androids a test run. Something about the wonderful fantasy of pleasure-droids in the future brings out the best of all 3 and especially the two unnaturally natural beauties played with flair by two east-European actresses. Hart shows in this overlooked modern classic that adult movies can and should have *humor* (including outright pranks) *creativity* and above all *dignity* - all the actors and actresses seem to be having a great time, and the fact that the guys wear condoms (in some scenes - maybe all) without it detracting from the fantasy one bit. In fact I have to wonder how much the lucky performers in Hart's movies request just "one more" rehearsal to get the final take just right. -Matt
