When Richard returns to his hometown after two years of fighting and killing in Vietnam, the war still rages within him. He discovers that “…nothing has changed for the better…” since he was away – not the neighborhood, not the corner delinquents, and, especially, not the sexually promiscuous stepmother he has always despised. But this night will be different from all the rest, and it will finally unleash the demons that have been screaming in his head. Richard barges in on his mother and her female lover as they are in the throes of hot lesbian passion, and he cuts them down with his army knife.

Then he hits the streets, wandering aimlessly – a madman now – looking to add fuel to the fire. He finds it, in the form of a beautiful prostitute who tries her hardest to excite this odd young fellow with the strange glint in his eye; and then, with a kinky young woman in lingerie who has the ability and the body to indulge all of Richard’s deepest fantasies. Both hapless women end up like his stepmother – naked and lifeless. As the night of insanity and bloodshed reaches its climax, Richard must confront the destruction he has wrought, both as a soldier and a civilian. With gun in hand, he will do just that.
