i know, i shouldn't wast my time on this. but, to the commenter above, i am curious as to precisely what your tactless quip 'disgusting' refers to? i'm curious, in fact, if you even took the time to watch the film. sure the film isn't a work of technical genious. but consider that in the context that this work is by a first-time director working on no budget, doing something that no one had even attempted: to make a film that captures authentic sexual experiences of trans women. following in the work of other feminist pornographers, DOI, forges an entirely new sexual narrative that has been pushed aside in the drive to create content that typically considers real sex as messy and obtrusive distraction from pre-fabricated fantasy. while fantasy has its place, the mainstream shemale porn industry has almost totally monopolized images of trans women's sexuality. not just dumb-ass boring, its ubiquity casts trans women as into a singular mold that doesn't fit reality, that doesn't get at how hot and diverse trans women can truly be. tap that shit! anyhow, the brevity, and concise perfection of your reponse couldn't be more aptly timed. it's reactions such as yours, autonomic responses that underscore the importance of this work. great job tobi! p.s. while they're not up here, the BTS inteviews are pretty rich in framing the importance of this work, just sayin.

I was able to meet One of the stars of this movie, Drew Deveaux, at the Philly Trans-Health Conference. She was part of a presentation of queer porn. Being trans myself, and watching this for the first time at the conference, I really felt like for the first time, trans women were being depicted on film in ways I have experienced in the bedroom. Unfortunately, I've also experienced what is seen in shemale porn. I have come to realize, though, that shemale porn is very unrealistic. Most of the transwomen in those scenes are no more than a man with boobs, fucking the men. Guys expect us to fuck them in the bedroom now. I can't speak for all transwomen, but my parts don't work like they used to. It's near impossible for me to. That being said, I really enjoyed the fact that transwomen were depicted in this movie having sex in a way that is normal. It's like they just took a camera into the bedroom of some trans couple and filmed them having sex. Very refreshing. This movie makes me want to get into the industry. If people like the ones depicted in the film can be in the industry, then I can too. Heck, I tried masturbating to this movie, and while it did turn me on like most porn does, it means much more to me than just porn with which to pleasure myself. It's empowering to see this. How can I play with myself while feeling that as well?
